Ok what plugs should I be using?
« on: March 16, 2012, 10:36:41 AM »
Im hoping for just a "get this one" answer. My cb750 has the Pamco Electronic ignition with high output coils ("ultimate pamco kit") Linkhttp://www.cb750supply.com/products/5/electrical/76/pamco-ignitions-and-parts
Im down with getting Iridium or whatever may be best suited. I just dont know what ones to get and dont really understand the whole deal with resistors, temps, etc.  And what about gap?

Thanks!

And I guess its worth noting I have an F head and 836k jugs.  (yup it worked)

I use the stock plugs in my CB750K-4 with the PAMCO and the "Ultimate" coils and they work just fine. I did open up the gap to .035".

At my K0 I run NGKs at stock gap - I want to go to 0.035" this spring.  And yes, I run Pamco.

I use NGK DR8EIX, they're precious metal, and they're kinda steep, but they are AWESOME if your bike is in good running order.

I ended up getting the NGK dr8eix Iridiums.  Havent installed yet, But I noticed these are resistor plugs. And the ultimate pamco kit has NGK caps which I believe also have resistors.  Seems like people have been doing this combo with no problems.. Should I just go with it? or find non resistor caps? any suggestions? would I need to change wires too?

You should be fine.  Actually I prefer to run resistor plugs...less noise on the MP3 player during long rides ;-)
