Cafe' or BUST CB750 F1

I recently bought my CB from a guy in Pittsburgh PA. He had it on eBay and it didn't fetch the amount he was asking, I think it was in the neighborhood of 1400. Well long story short, I was able to get the bike for 600 and I drove the 331 miles to retrieve the ride. I have never attempted a project like this and already feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have stripped the electric system (I want kick only) and removed the carb and oil tank. I have questions like:

What is involved in deleting the battery? All I want to run is head and break lights.

where can I get/make a cowl oil tank?

I know more questions will arise on my quest.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

there is tons of info here. you might want to spend a weekend, or a month, just reading all the topics that relate to what you're doing. everything you can imagine has been done and talked about on this site.

you need some type of power source to start the bike. the charging system requires power to start up. ive seen people use capacitors and small batteries for kick only. cycle exchange has some aftermarket charging options that you can supposedly delete the battery with. may want to talk to them over there.
