type one needles

i have some old kiehin type 1 needles numbered 273004,and the replacement keyster ones are numbered D26 and are much leaner(thicker all over),can anyone shed any light?my previous build of a 500 i used the old needles,i dont know the numbers on them,id say it would be running lean if i had used the D26 on that engine.

Originally 550F's have needle number 273004. CB 550K's and CB 500 have 272304. Keysters D26 needle is ment to correspond with Honda's 272304. Keysters D274 needle is ment to correspond with Honda's 273004. Ment.
