Very cool.  I will print it and keep it with the documentation for my APE lightened and balanced crank!

Way to go JAY! I bot my first parts from you in 1980. A 1980 APE decal on my toolbox. I'll be buying more.

You look just like I would have pictured you. And I mean that in a good way.   ;D

WOW. Impressive bio, sir. When I read about the Hot Bike column, I drug out a June '84 issue: There you are, on page 51. The title was "Drag Bag", though, not "The Quarter Mile File"?

Well deserved and welcome back to the beginning, CB750. I'm glad you're here Speed Merchant and I'm glad we have convinced you to return to your roots and our loves. Hope we can help justify your true love.

I just received my green bearings today to put those Carrillo rods and APE crank to good use with the 900 kit you set up for me and the top and bottom studs you make. Not sure when I can start the other build using one of the first batch of the APE 1000 kits and the Crower rods experiment we got you to do too.

Jay, I've said it multiple times - THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE FOR US!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Scottly;
Hot Bike came up with that name. I convinced them to change it later.

Jerry; Thanks for the kind words.

Wow Jay, that was an interesting read, you sure have some stories to tell.

Have you kept any of those early 750 drag racers?

Cheers

What's impressive Jay, is that after all these years you're still supporting such an old platform. That's great to me.

A true "Legend in his own Time" and still humble enough to answer questions from the masses, a rare thing indeed. Thanks Jay, keep those CB750 performance parts coming mate! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
