Topic: Which stock tank looks better on a cb550?

They both fit a cb550 frame with no modifications.  I have one of each.

The bike will have a cafe seat.

I like the Cb500 Tank with the chrome cap offset to the right.
what year is it?

The bike is a 75 with an existing longer tank....not sure what year the cb550k tank is from.  Something I rally like about the chrome gas cap.

I like both tanks, for different reasons, i like the streamlined covered gas cap. and i like the shape of the chrome capped tank. I have both tanks, but chose to use the locking cap one for my bike because i live in a city, and people like to take what's not theirs (ie Gas) yeah i know you can just pop the lines off the petcock and drain the gass out, but in my experience most people around here go for what looks easy, like an unlocked door, or gas cap. It realy all depends on what the rest of your build is going to look like, make sure your seat mates with the tank well, and either tank will look great.

Thinking of keeping the cb550f tank in storage incase I ever want to turn the bike back to original state.
