a quiet days fishing
« on: August 25, 2010, 10:45:40 PM »
since today turned on an early spring I ventured forth to my local river, the waimakariri. still running dirty from the past bad weather but there is a spring fed stream that runs into it, this provides a section of clear water that can offer up a nice trout or two. sadly on the opposite side of the river is the local jet boat ramp. so I've just spotted a nice fish of 3 to 4 pounds feeding where part of the stream meets the murk and am trying to get a good drift towards it when there is a howl coming from up river. this long sleek (marathon boat) comes streaking past me doing at least a 80mph and my lovely brownie departs for a safer spot. I didn't mind so much cause this boat was powered by a gas turbine engine, new to me on the water. is this the new thing to go racing ?

You want envy??...........post some pics.

Of the fish, river, boat etc.

I'm sitting in an office at the moment, staring at a screen listening and seeing the same people and hearing the same yadda yadda yadda as for the past 7 months in this place.

Go on, I dare ya...make me envious.
