Wow, I guess I didn't do a very good job of keeping this updated. Here's a crappy cell pic of my bike with the painted/wrapped exhaust:

I had the exhaust hung pretty low to clear the passenger pegs and managed to bottom it out on a couple of the big bumps we had this spring. The roads around Detroit took quite a beating this winter. There is a new dent just downstream of the collector and the tape is damaged in a couple of areas. I'll probably get it onto the local CL shortly. I'm collecting too much stuff.
A few weeks ago I stumbled onto the repro HM300 exhaust that David Silver Spares is offering and ordered a set. Got them about 2 weeks ago and got them mounted up as soon as I got home. Loving them. At this point I still need to re-jet my carbs, but I love the look and sound. I struggled a little bit getting #1 and #2 to line up at the collector, but realized that I needed to rotate the pipes just a touch on the flange. That did the trick.
Here's a couple of less crappy cell pics of the bike with the new DSS repro exhaust:

At this point I've been doing quite a bit of 2-up riding and it is pretty cramped for that. I either need to find a larger bike or find something that she can ride. I've been scouring CL for a deal on a CB500 or 550, but realistically it'll probably have to wait until this winter.
