Hey guys quick question do you think the stock turn lights look a little out of place with the drag bars?

Well yet another blunder in the Project BIB part II....  Finally got my seat today after waiting almost a month for it..... Pulled it out of the box was pretty satisfied with the quality.  Came home from work and decided to mount it to the pan and finish my license plate mount so I could ride it to work today....  Took off my old pan and realized it was so rusty it wasn't worth saving... litterally full of holes.  No matter I had another seat that I had been saving for a rainy day.  So I took that apart instead painted it with some rust tough for protection and started to put it together.  About 5 minutes later I realized the new seat I had was shaped differently and was 4 inches longer at the end.   I went back through my mails and realized when I asked the seller if the seat would fit a K he sent me a different link when he said yes... Which apparently I didn't notice... So I accidentally bought a seat for a F... &^%*  So I'm asking the seller if there is anything we can do but I am thinking I am screwed.

Here are a few pics.  I'm thinking maybe I could get a F seat pan.  Do any of you know if a F pan will fit a K bike?  Seems like I remember something major changing and them not working.

A few of u may recall that I had a master cylinder issue and when I went to switch it to a spare the reservior seal leaked.... Well on a (REALLY) off chance I tried something.  I had another master that was locked solid and decided to try and salvage the reservior seal out of it.  This master was really bad I had to cut the lid and make a notch in the retaining screw cause it was rusted solid.  Once I got it open I was greeted by funky rusty fuzz.  But I carefully pried it open and HA the one seal I needed actually was fine!  Got it all back together and my new mirrors mounted.

Few more shots and u can see the stainless caps here and there on the gauges I added.  I've already repainted the top on the reservoir.

And no that's not my pink shwin in the background its actually my GF's... and happens to be the color pink she wants her 650 to be only instead of glossy white and pink she wants flat or semi gloss black and pink lol.

Ha, yea but its her bike and I'm not planning on riding it with two goldwings and a 750 to choose from lol.  Besides for a chick the flat / semigloss mix of black, chrome, and pink doesn't sound bad.

flat / semigloss mix of black, chrome, and pink sounds really cool!  Last summer I saw a CB 350 twin with a flat purple and white pin stripping that was SO good looking almost as good as the rider!!  Have a pic to share but didn't want to hijack your thread...

What a great build looking forward to seeing this one completed great work Old75_ratafe

Thanks Mayor and feel free to post the pic I don't mind the eye candy and might give some ideas on the paint.  Right now she is dead set against any stripes.

Not a bad color I think that's kinda what she wants only pink... to match the riders hair  ;D  (and I wouldn't mind seeing the rider either).  Anyway project 750 is a bit stalled until after the 650 is in the stable and I get a chance to save up for a few things to do my drag bars.  (nighthawk throttle side control and a nighthawk clutch cable)

Just a little update.
Still waiting on the correct seat.
Drag bars are on hold till I can buy a nighthawk throttle control.
Brakes are working ok I stripped the master cyls black painted lever to metal and very lightly hand polished it to match the clutch.

Sand that level down a bit, smooth it out, then polish it.  It should come up quite nice without too much work.

Later on Tipper I might get around to doing that for right now I just lightly hand polished to keep from oxidizing and its gonna live like that a bit.  Rat bike remember ;)  When and if I yank the motor and paint it I'll go back and take a polishing wheel to it, and a bunch of other parts right now I'm kinda doing the bare aluminum look.  I did clean up my pipes the other night (as best I could without removing them).  I'll throw a pic of them on later.  Kinda waiting on this Goldwing trade if I get that I'll take the 750 off the road and re do a lot of things.

FYI to anyone watching this... Don't get the seats from vietnam.... THeir good quality... but dear god the shipping is rediculious to wait on.  I accidentally bought a F cafe seat cover and foam (my fault) and had to reorder a new one.  The guy was very cool about it and since he is the one making it even made the K one with some softer foam for me.  But its taken over a month to get here at this point.

yea I have a sneaking suspicion that the F seat would fit a goldwing pan.  And thats why I asked for softer foam too it was wide and the foam was STIFF.

Just a little update for anyone wondering if I died or anything.  I got screwed on the replacement seat I sent the guy the money and he strung me along till paypals 45 day limit expired and then I got a single sentence from him of "I have no record of our transaction"  I then sent him a copy of the invoice and the trasaction numbers and after several more attempts to contact him he never even bothered to respond.  Thank you asshat for wasting almost $400 of my hard earned cash. Basically that killed the rest of the cash I planed on spending on the bike this year and between work I've been to busy to do much else to it this past summer.  So I've just been having fun riding it in rat form.  Next year the paint gets finished right, shocks rebuild / replaced and dual disc conversion.... Oh yea and a seat not held together with duct tape...

Oh one last thing the deal I had with the 650 fell through for my gf the guys grand dad (who's house it was at) gave it to his neighbor for free (lucky bastard) and the goldwing deal I had setup the guy kept putting me off then I didn't have the cash.  I also have a line on another 74 750 its only $50 minus tanks, gauges, carbs, exhaust and seat (but I have spare gauges, tank, seat, and a line on a cheap exhaust) but I'm kinda leery as the last time I checked it out its outside and the carb, exhaust and plugs are off and exposed to rain.... So the engine is probably trashed or a major rebuild at the least.  Well that sums up my summer!

That would be "Eric" AKA: hondaclassic31 on ebay.  It was my fault I ordered the F seat first but then he was supposed to pay me back and mail it to the next person who bought a F seat.  Then he asked me to pay him upfront (through paypal direct) for the new seat so he had money for "materials".  The date for it to show up came and went.  Contacted him on a weekly basis about it.  He told me that he had contacted Vietnam's mail service and they had told him 7 to 14 days to track it down.  That came and went I contacted him again and he was "on vacation and would find out when he got back in a week".  That put me past the 45 days of paypals limit to make a claim against him.  I heard nothing from him after the time he was supposed to return home.  Contacted him again.... Got the whole "I have no record of a transaction from you" then I responded with the paypal invoice # which I had written what it was for and the original transaction #'s.  I never got a response after that even after several attempts to contact him again.
