Maiden voyage on my '78 CB 550
« on: August 29, 2010, 06:43:30 PM »
So I kind of went things in a bit of a backwards way....I bought my bikes prior to me actually having my motorcycle license. As of today, I officially finished the required riders course, got my learners permit, got a temporary registration for my 550, and finally got to ride it today! What a blast!!!

I now know what others see in bikes...I had no interest in bikes up until a couple months/weeks ago....Had a blast riding tonite. Too bad I'm way up north and only have about two months max of riding left for the summer!

 ;D

I was the same way a few months ago.  Never interested, took an MSF class, bought a Cb750 and love it!

Glad you are enjoying it!

I went for a 50 mile ride today.  Bliss.

I probably put on about 25 or 30 miles today (just finished the safety course before dinner today!)...I'd still be out riding but my learners permit doesn't let me ride when its dark.

Attached is a pic of my 550, as well as my cb 750 that I've started disassembling. Also working on a cb 400 (for my wife) to hopefully ride next summer as well. Can't wait!
