That's a gorgeous bike!  I likey!!!    :-*

I showed it to my wife, she frowned.   :(
I told her it's not for sale in the US, she smiled  :) and said, 'aw, that's too bad.'
I don't believe she's all that broken up about it.   :'(

Looks great! Honda should definitely consider the retro paint schemes and importing to the U.S.

Well I kinda like it, and I kinda don't. Mick in Darwin has a new CB1100 and his looks great, but that "Faux K0" treatment doesn't appeal to me, Kawasaki tried it with their Zephyr "Faux Z1" and to me, it cheapened what was otherwise a nice modern bike. Just my opinion of course, for what it's worth. I want a set of those 18 inch wheels though, they look great! cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

If I don't hear some positive news real soon from Honda about how they are looking forward to bringing this bike to America.  I'm going to buy a Triumph or a BMW.

What ever marketing/advertising system Honda is using is just pissing me off.

On the gold bike there is a left side emblem on the right side. The wing is facing backwards. After all that, can't miss a detail like that.   :(

Well my man, I do too.  When you're calling around to the breakers looking for a decent set, let me know what they cost and how much you'd want for boxing up a second set for a trip to sunny Canada. :)

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Fortunately, our Wolf Creek is entirely different.
http://www.sangres.com/features/wolfcreekpass.htm

Our kids go up there to ski, it isn't too far from here.   The wife and I road that route on the way to Estes Park a couple of years ago.  One of the best stretches of road I have ever seen for a motorbike.  The amazing scenery was a bit of a distraction, though...

As for that beautiful CB1100, hey Mick how's about a review of your impressions and experience with it?

Overall, the bike is well put together.

Handling is very good and it goes into and comes out of corners very well.

The brakes are excellent and maintain good extended stopping power with no fade.

The transmission is very smooth and gear changing is feather light.

The hydraulic clutch is a big plus and there is also an adjuster dial (like a cam) which can be rotated to change the orientation of the lever to suit the rider.

The master cylinder lever for the front brake has the same set up as well.

The engine is very smooth and powerful  (not neck snapping powerful but very satisfying)

Once over 4000 RPM, it really starts to gallop along.

The tank holds just a bit under 4 US gallons and a bit more capacity would be nice for long rides.

I find the seat to be a bit uncomfortable after a while but I have a bony backside.

The cost just for the bike was $15000:00 AUD which I think is good value for money and I have no regrets about that.

I don’t think that I can honestly say that I love it as much as the old 750’s but it is a very good machine.

Mick
