Ammount of fork travel CB750
« on: September 03, 2010, 05:59:47 pm »
I've been riding around with a zip-tie on my fork tube to figure out how much the slider moves under "normal" riding.  My results show about 2.5 inches (63.6 mm).  This seems right, but I would like a second or third opinion.  Thanks!

How much travel do you get under maximum front braking?
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

I can get quite a bit more than that on my K1 by just pushing down on the front with the brake applied.

Thanks for your replies Gordon and Scottly!  For my "test" I hit speed bumps and pot holes aggressively, and did some low speed brake dives. Holding the brake and pumping the forks gets about an inch and a half.

Gaiters can make it tough to measure how much they actually move, it is easier on 77-78 and F models. Any F-ers out there with a measurement on this?
