Got pulled up last night
« on: September 05, 2010, 07:06:39 PM »
Was out for a quick ride last evening and after blasting down a country road I had someone tooting at me from behind, I'm thinking some dickhead thinks I'm a cop and wants to report a burglary or something so I ignore it and hit the motorway.
Damn windy out there esp on the bridges so I pulled a U turn around a traffic island (as only we bikers can do) and was about to head home when I see a wee van flashing his lights at me.
I gave up, pulled over and walked to the van, expecting to be greeted by joe public with some gripe for the cops.
Nah wrong, it was Chip (remember "CHIPS"the TV series) a guy I have heard about but not met, he has a CB360P which is the Police version of the 360, his is all complete with lights and sirens too.
We chatted for a good half hour with people travelling past tooting or waving, even an ambulance was fooled and gave us a flash ha ha, I guess it looked like Chip was getting a ticket. :D
Anyhow it was great to finally meet up and compare notes, must get out for a ride with him one day to complete the CHIPS image. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Hey Hushy, are you serious, cops in UnZud rode 360's? Who were they chasing, Noddy and Big Ears? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Ha ha, sorry Mick, snorting hot tea outta your nose must hurt like buggery! (well, an old Air force bloke I know told me once that "Nothing hurts like buggery", but that's another story.....)

Enid Blyton was a prolific author of childrens books, and "Noddy" was the most popular and most controversial series, because another of the characters (Apart from Big ears and PC Plod) was a black "Golliwog", by the name of "". Very un-PC now, and I think a lot of her books were banned in many countries. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Well, if you were driving a Humber 80 mate, that'd probably make you the character who's name I better not repeat! How are things there mate, did your house fall down? All the best! ;D

Actually just for once Terry you are right, Chip has 3 other 360's apart from the Police one and he says 100kph out of all three is a daily thing but the poor wee copper bike with all it's junk on can only do 80kph full tit. ;D
That didn't stop him riding it right across the North Island to a rally in New Plymouth a while back, it was slow going and it spat the cam chain on the way home but he loved every minute of the trip. :D
Oh yeah and Humber 80's were fast as bro...we used to drop HD179 or HR186 Holden motors in them, apart from spitting out drive shafts and gear boxes they worked great. ;D
And to continue the Enid Blyton thread, Big Ears and Noddy were the first openly gay childrens book characters, well they always slept together so maybe Big Ears worked for the Airforce?

Over here in the defence force, the Army was told that we couldn't discriminate against gays, but being gay was optional, the Airforce just assumed that being gay was cool, and the navy made it mandatory. The Navy's motto is "You never leave your mate's behind"...........  ;D

Nice Terry, real nice.  ;D

So what is the Army's motto?
Here, hold my gun while I .....
Laugh at least once a day.
Life  $ucks, then you die.
You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.
God forces us to live with  non-believers to test our resolve.

Thanks for the offer mate, but as I said, in the Army being gay is optional, not mandatory! ;D
