hello from Seattle
« on: September 09, 2010, 09:29:30 PM »
New guy on the forum just dropping in to say hi. I live just south of Seattle in Des Moines. I currently own a Yamaha FZ1 and have been searching for the perfect CB750 as a project when I stumbled on this site. I am a member of a few different forums and I can easily say this is by far the most informative site I have ever seen for a specific bike. The project forum is seemingly endless of projects and information. I can't believe how much I have learned from this site already and I don't even own a CB yet! Anyway, I will chime in when that perfect donor finally shows up and I have a pile of parts forming in the garage. I am sure I will have a ton a questions when the bolts start coming out. Thanks for the wealth of information and an awesome site.

looks like all is going to work out for me. Going tomorrow to pick up a 1978 CB750F3 SS with 35000 original miles. Been sitting for a few years but is in absolutely great shape. Once my project makes it home I will start a new thread in the project section with pics. Has a new 4 into 1, new tires, comstar wheels, new paint (but I am ditching it), new gel seat, new in package pod filters, oil filter, carb needles and gasket/o-ring set. No serious rust worth mentioning. Gonna need a carb clean, fresh fuel and oil, and a battery to make a runner (hopefully).
