100/90-18 Tire on front of CB400F
« on: February 28, 2006, 10:11:32 PM »
Just got a good deal on some Bridgestone spitfires for my CB400F.  How tight a fit is the 100/90-18 in the front? The only 90/90 I could find were Bridgestone BT 45 and Conti TKV 11.

Thanks

I thought I could help out here - I checked the front tire on the wife's 400F and it just has 3.60/19 on it - it's a Dunlop K81. Don't know if that helps you at all, but it's a good fit!

I have a 100/90/18 Dunlop 501 on the front of my wifes 400, no problem. It looks to me as if these non-radials are getting skinnier anyway.

I got that on mine.  Brake line is a bit tight in its guide bracket, but there is no rubbing or contact anywhere.

The bike is supposedly a bit more difficult to turn in with the bigger rubber, but once the turn is going, it sticks like glue.

Thanks, I'll post a pictuire of how mine fit once instlled.  Anybody looking for original CB400F tires with about 3K miles on'em?  Mine have lots of tread but are diamond hard.
