Well, The Doctor was in to see Karla today (about 20 minutes after I had left, might know) and said that the ONLY clot they can find is the one in her left leg AND it seemed to be starting to reduce in size.  Great news for us! ;)

Thank you.she seems to be on the mend. It kinda rocked ME, as I could just see my losing HER as well. I've heard some BAD things about those blood clots.

Lee

Hey Lee.  It's been awhile. Thanks, it IS good to have her on the mend, I can tell ya. Yeah, I'm getting along okay. Been off doing things with my Car for a while now. Working on getting things lined out so I can get on with my Super Hawk Cafe Build. I've got myself a digital camera, finally and I am learning how to get those shots taken and downloaded, w/o having a ton of actually pictures laying around taking up space and costing more. Hoping to get Karla out of there by around midweek, if all continues to go well. Still just My Daughter, my Dad and Me too. I'm probably too ornery to attract another lady.  ::)  At least that's MY excuse anyway.  ;)

Guess you all are doing okay? Hope so. :)

Bill, I'm not on much lately but just saw this and can't say more than I truly hope things continue to progress and this turns out to be just a minor bump in your road.  I just told my wife "I can't believe Bill.  He's dealt with so much..." and she knew who I meant.  You touch more of us than you know and I hope all of our good thoughts help.

Take care my friend

Bill,

Glad to hear she is doing better.  I can sympathize.  Had a doozy in my right leg after reconstructive knee surgery.  That sucker was painful.  Only thing in my life to keep me from eating, sleeping and well you know...ahem.  I was in the damn hospital for 8 days.  I think that's when I went crazy although some people say I was crazy years before.

Will she have to stay on blood thinners?  I had to go to the dr. once a week for two months or so for blood work and they would adjust my meds. accordingly.

Also she should also get a medical alert bracelet if she does keep taking them.  Just in case, you don't want a small accident turning into a big deal.  I didn't get one at first, until I cut myself shaving and had to change dress shirts before I went to work.  Thought I was going to have to get a stitch to stop the bleeding...

Hey James, I knew you hadn't been on in a bit. I just appreciate the gobs of support I have gotten from here, with all of the situations that i have gone through. I REALLY appreciate the kind words also (more than you know). My life changed so drastically last year in July, that I figured the rest would be a down hill run from there. Ya just NEVER know what lies ahead for us. I have always heard that the Lord won't put more on you, than you can handle. But, I really wonder sometimes, if he remembers who he is dealing with because, he has stretch me thin several times, beyond belief. Yes, Thank God, Karla is seeming to be getting better and also I'm so thankful that there is only one clot (it was thought that there might be 2). She has REALLY been a trooper, during this last year. She held like a rock and only really broke down only slightly and only 2 or 3 times. She's REALLY been there for ME. I can't say that though, I've been really shaky several times and off & on even now days. I DO worry about her though, because of the fact that she HASN'T seemed to gotten her Grieving done. She's been doing her best to be there for me. So, if things keep going the way they are, she shouldn't have to be there much longer (about Tues or Wed maybe).

James, the thoughts & Prayers from here, help immensely, I assure you!   ;)

Matt

So, SOME people say you were crazy before? ??? Ahhh, What do THEY know? ;D

Yeah, she was having some pretty good pain from this one, I can tell you. So, YOU know what she was dealing with. I can only guess, because I have never had that situation before, Thank God.

The Doctor was originally talking possible blood thinners for about 6months, but we will have to see how things play out and then see what he says at the end of her stay.
I hadn't thought about the medical bracelet. That's definitely a good idea and I will keep that in mind. All I have to do is to suggest it to her and she will get it done pronto.

I appreciate your input AND support here, Thanks, Bill ;)

Thank you Mordechai, I'll go for that. It WOULD be nice for things to move along smoothly for a bit. At least give me a chance to catch my breath. Karla is handling things well too. At first, she was apprehensive about things and had that feeling that she was going to go like her Mother did. Thing is, she has had those feeling since her Mother passed away last year and kept them to herself. I hate that she's been under that stress about that. Maybe THIS episode will make things easier for her.  ;)

Thanks again for the Prayers, e KNOW they work, huh.  ;)

Thank you Bill, she's doing well. She was a bit bent out of shape when they took her from  "Out Patient" to the ER to be admitted to the hospital, they took her in a wheelchair and she didn't appreciate that. Even though she doesn't move too well, she likes to move on her own and not be pushed in that wheelchair. I told her that, with that blood clot, IF it were to break loose and go to the heart, she could die. Well, that gave her a whole new outlook on things. She just likes t do things herself and to not be able to, makes her feel helpless. She's a good kid. She might be 32yrs old, but she's STILL a good kid.  ;)

hey bill,
haven't been on-site for awhile 'cause i sold my cb550, but am looking at a sohc this week - thought i'd stop in.  am so sorry to hear of Karla's problem, she'll be in my thoughts.

you should know i'm not really a religious man, but there are some days when i'm out workin' and it's too cold and i think "what the heck am i doin' here?"  then a warm breeze will come thru and i'll catch a quick break.  i'll usually say "thanks, man" to no-one in particular, but i think i'm fooling myself.  guess it's about time i fully realize that there are forces at work greater than ourselves.  so, to that end, i'll be offering some prayers tonight from afar for your little girl.  peace, and love from vt.

I hear ya bobp. On numerous occasions, I've had an obvious assist form the Lord, that can only be explained as that.

A Quick example: Numerous times (while dealing with my Dad's Situation) I'd be on my way down to see him and I'd get a notion to stop by the Perry County Court House and when I did, I'd find that the S & S team was at it again and I'd proceed to shut them down again.

I've had it happen more times than I can count. Now, I'm not the smartest person about alot of stuff, so it's clear that I had help from above. And I'll tell ya, I do not turn down ANY Prayers or thoughts. I'll take them all. Lord knows I need all the help I can get.  ;)

Sure thing Sam. Hoping to see the Doctor today and see what he thinks of the progress and when she can get out of there. She's hanging real well, but is ready to get back to everyday things. Can't say as I blame her. I'd not do well in there myself and, fortunately, I've never been put in there for anything yet. Thought I'd better throw that "YET" in there, as you never know when it could happen.

Hey Jay, good to hear from you. Hope things are going okay on your end. How's Bre doing? Well, I hope.

Thanks for the support, Karla is hanging in there. It's been something (I know it could have been alot worse, but it still shook us up a bit). Hopefully, she'll be ready to be released about midweek. Haven't seen the Doctor myself, since we checked her in. He seems to come in when ever he decides to.  ::)

YEP, I brought her HOME just now! 8) I want to Thank ALL of you who provided Support with your Prayers and Thoughts. Now maybe we can get back on track.  ;)

That's good news Bill!  Glad to hear that things have worked themselves out for the better...with a lot of help and prayer.

Take care of all.
