Hero2 or Hero3? How was it mounted on the way home? My Hero2 kit did not come with the chest strap. Off to Best Buy in the morning. Gotta get vid of Tail of the Dragon and Blue Ridge Parkway next week. I picked up a 32gb card and it would not recognize it. That sucks.

You really should be ashamed! All those bikes in the garage and you made them all look bad  ;D

Hero2 HD. I had the camera mounted on the side of my helmet. I like the view but the wind noise is horrible. I am going to play around with an external mic to get some better sound.

Here is a couple new pics

Glad I figured out how to mount it. Well worth the hassle. "Almost" as smooth and easy as my FZ1. I was soooo tempted to stop at the Ram for an IPA. Haven't belly'ed up to a bar solo in long time.

I also tested out my GoPro suction mount on the side of the tank. I really like the angle. You can really see the suspension working good. I don't like the way it makes my top end sound though. I bought an external mic but forgot all about until i got home. doh!

Video is awesome. Re: external mike.. if you really want to get sound that way, you'll need a wind cover for it. That's the furry thing you see at the end of a sound boom during a film shoot that takes place outdoors. Or perhaps tuck the mic in a place where the wind can't get at it.

Thanks man, yea I plan on "borrowing" a stuffed toy from my son for its pelt so I can make one. Definitely have some experimenting to do.

Glad it worked well B.  I love the pro taper on my 78 and the MSR lever on my 77.  I hope to get out this weekend and rip a bit with the GoPro on.  If you use a sealed case it will help to eliminate som of the sound chatter.

I was wondering about that. I like to hear the engine doesn't the sealed case block out all the noise?

with the sealed you can still hear the exhaust but limits wind and other noise.

I think Icon and other sponsors spent a little more than they anticipated when you see what happened to the Mustang.

How the auto manufacturers talked the gov't out of roll over protection in fed safety testing is amazing...

Made another video today. Nothing real exciting but it was nice day and good way to kill a few hours with tweakin. Still experimenting with the GoPro. Sure is fun tinker with it.

The sound is quite good. Your bike sounds like she's really purring.  8)

And I'm pretty sure we've all grabbed for the elusive 6th gear a time or two. lol

Haha, yea the old 6th gear. I always look for it but never find it....

Thanks for the comment. The sound is a big improvement for sure. Virtually no wind noise. I made a mic cover out of the tail of a fuzzy dog toy and it seems to actually work. Cheap $5 mic from Ebay was worth it.

Worked out well. Did you have or use the alternate rear cover? I see an alternate topic on GoPro.  ;)  Especially the editing part.

Thanks guys, I am using the solid waterproof case but I had to drill a hole in the side so I could plug the jack of the mic into the camera. Works great. I am messing around with mic placement now. I put it under the left side cover and the sound is even better. I deleted the footage though because I got sea sick watching the video it bounced around so much. I will retake some footage and post the results.

Feel free to discuss any GoPro items in my thread hear I love the discussion.
