FYI -- at $15 per piston, Cal's vendor is by far the cheapest I've found.  Or is that $30 per piston for the two different coatings per piston?  If $15 for both, Cal, will your vendor deal with mail in/out parts??

By comparison, Cycle X charges $130 for both DFL on the skirts and heat dispersal coating on the tops or $32.50 per piston.   http://www.cyclexchange.net/HIGH%20PERF%20ENGINE%20COATING.htm

I am happy to report that with the help of this forum and some very generous members (you know who you are!) TAO is back on the road. I have been working on her covertly from my garage over the past few months and have about 25 miles on the rebuild. I put the CR29 carbs on my K4 so the roundtop carbs are installed with some K&N pods and oddly enough it runs better than ever. I have some tuning to do but its pretty close now. This bike is FUN to ride but I still am planning on selling it. If anybody is interested hit me up. Thanks to everyone that convinced me to rebuild her. It was the right decision for sure.

OH yea, Its been a fun project. Running like a top now. The roundtop carbs really settled the engine down and it purrs like a kitten.
