D'oh Moment...

So, I realized I did something stupid today... My electric starter hasn't worked since my rebuild... No biggie, she kicks easy enough. Decided to figure it out today. After an hour or so of diagnosing, I realized I had gotten the starter motor lead and the chassis ground mixed up when I put her all back together. No wonder! Just glad I didnt do any damage to my old girl... And now, I only have to kick start it if i want to!

Make me feel better, tell me something stupid YOU did!

 Like dooh, more than a few times I've gone tearing off  down the road after filling my tank only to find myself coming to a sputtering halt after a mile because my dumb ass forgot to turn the petcock back on! Sheesh!

Yeah, the petcock has gotten me too. And once I took off through a parking lot at the bar, reved it up, turned on the road and kkckckkrkrkrkrkrrrrrrrrr, sparks fly for a split second from the kickstand!  ::)

my bike would come to a sputterin stop on the side of the road and after 2 weeks of checkin out every thing electrical I could and spending a good amount of money on new electrical parts come to find out its the gas cap breather all pluged up its always the simple stuff you over look the real kicker is I just fixed the same prob on another old bike of mine a month before
