Strong sound, but what kind of jets should I use ?
« on: August 28, 2010, 09:25:09 AM »
Bought a K2 a few days ago, cleaned the carbs and 3 Kick later the engine was running.
But what was that ? Sounds 100 times better then my K1 without end caps, both with HM341.
Took off the end caps  :o  now I know why it sounds so good.

I would like to take the hole stuff out of the pipe, it is damaged anyway.
I would like to use it empty and only with the end caps but what kind of main jets do I need with en empty HM341 ?

Opened the airbox  8) K&N air filter is already installed but I only found a 110 main jet.
It is one of the last K4 motors ~150 numbers later K5 starts.
With the stock HM341 pipes and K&N air filter is 110 not a little bit to small ?

Read somewhere here on a german cb750 page -->...k1+K&N+140 main-jets.
So I thought for the K4 engine stock is 105 and together with the K&N 120 to 130 ?

What do You think ?

I'm only running 110's in the OEM carbs with stock airbox on my hot 836 engine Georg, seems to run fine, although I haven't done a plug chop? Cheers, Terry.  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
