Topic: Honda Hawk wheels.....will they fit a 750?

While scrounging for parts yesterday......I saw an old Honda Hawk that had wheels on it like the Comstars.....might have even been Comstars as I have never saw any in person

Will they fit a 750.....if they arent Comstars? And if they arent......what kind are they?

The 77-78 Honda Hawk 400(450?) did indeed have Comstars as did the Hondamatic 400. Whether they will fit a 750 I don't know, but I would think not.

kc, why would you want to put comstars on a bike that already has spokes? Off hand I am going to say that the hawk wheels won;t fir the 750 wheels but if you really wanted comstars, why not just swap front and rear ends with someone who wants spokes.

The Hawk with the comstars uses the same wheel diameters as the 77/78 F, not sure about the width.  I think they're the same, but I'd have to check both bikes when I get home..   .  Don't know if the brake disc is the same size as the older K bikes.

I probally will stick with spokes.  I was just wanting a set of clean wheels. My rims are Ok but the spokes are grubby.

One thing I noticed about those on the Hawk....didnt have a speedo sender. But they are in good shape.

there are always new ones...or, you can polish the ones you have - there are multiple threads on here about doing that...
