Help please... '77 CB750K piston rings
« on: September 16, 2010, 05:26:40 PM »
I have a 77 750K and I have looked all over the web and can't seem to find rings or even a honda oem part number.
All i find are the 1311-300-024 71-76 years, and they are too thick to fit in my pistons, I thought I read that the F model had the same pistons......?
Can't seem to find rings for an F model either, The pistons have a dome on them where the older models didn't...?
I also read that the compression on the 71-76 was 9:0:1 and the 77-78K-F was 9:2:1.....? is this correct?

Thanks for any help or input, I have access to a TON I mean boxes and boxes of old 70's but still new in the box rings, at guys shop I know but need the part number and just have to dig and search through all of it until I find a set... ::)

Service Honda shows the part number as: 13011-392-004 for a standard ring set.

Hope this helps!

CMSNL.com also lists OEM part numbers and has superseded stuff listed too.

When I bought mine for my 78 service Honda had the best price 20 bucks less than the local dealer.
