Some parts of my house are virtual spider killing grounds. Seriously, they look like little spider eco labs. Various insects & insect parts scattered about and dangling from webs, along with what looks like dried spider venom forming little white crustaceans on the floor under the webs...

Two weeks ago I was sitting here in my library and a bat flew into the room!! I ran to the front door to let him out, but he didn't want to leave...so, I waited for him to land, which he finally did by hanging upside down from the crown molding in my living room, so then I grabbed my wet/dry vac.
Thinking I'd suction him on to the end of the hose and then run outside, turn off the power, thereby setting him free...didn't work.

He got sucked all the way through the hose and expired inside the vac as it sat outside on my front porch overnight. Boohoo, I'm not sad...little rats with wings!!

This pretty much sums up how I feel about bats!!

Oh! the hazards of living in a 100 year old house!
