Did I just make a $$ mistake?
« on: September 16, 2010, 11:58:58 PM »
Due to my durr-brain-ness, I somehow didn't see a 7g wheel weight on the rim that I just got sandblasted and powder coated.

Do I pull the weight off and start again, or do I start lacing it up?

ARRRGGGHHH!

I guess it would be hard to tell if it still works  to balance the rim, or throw it out of balance.

If it worked (balanced_), I'd say run it.

I wonder why your powder coat guy didn't say something?

I might pull it off and then reattach another one.  I know that sounds stupid also but at least it will look like it was intentional.  At any rate, you may be removing it when you get your tires balanced anyway.  Touch-up paint at that point would work.  Either way, change powder coaters, that was at least worth a call to ask out of them.
