Repro seat
« on: April 27, 2020, 03:08:39 AM »
Have to replace the King Queen seat on my 550 ko 1974 USA import. Any advice what to buy ? Doesn’t have to be an identical replica of the original but similar. There are a few on offer around the place but are they any good?

If you want original look any 500/550 seat is the same 72 to 76, the very eary 500K0 was different and the 550 K3 and F were different
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

They are sold out. But its a Vietnamese made seat I think. The post makes them all expensive in Australia. Looking at Texavina, also out of Vietnam. I have used one for a mini bike and it was ok

I bought a CB750 cafe seat from Texavina (aka daytrader_07 on eBay). I saw one I liked on eBay but wanted it slightly different and they made the change for no extra charge. I was happy with the quality; had a metal seat pan, unlike some of the cheaper seats I've seen.
