CB350 Fuel Hose Routing??
« on: September 18, 2010, 09:16:21 AM »
I received my bike with the gas tank removed and no hoses connected.  I wanted to see if anyone had pics for the correct routing.  Are there two connection points for the carbs or one for each?  What size hoses are required, will it be more than one size?  Thanks

There is a single fuel connector located between the middle two carbs that the fuel line goes to. As seen in the pic, the fuel line runs up from the carb, through a holder on the backside of the #2 carb and up to the petcock. The other two hoses are vent tubes and go over the top of the airbox and down near the swingarm.

Fuel hose will all be one size. I forget what the right size is but if you do a search you will find it.

out of curiosity are hose clamps not needed or are they just missing from this mock up?

Honda used those little wire spring "C" clamps that are just about impossible to install in the tight confines of the carb stack. The 5.5mm (I think) stock fuel line is tight on the nipple, pretty hard to pull off actually. It also stays flexible for a LONG time in gasoline. Anyway, IMO the clamps are unnecessary, nice if you have them but nothing to fret about if you use the correct fuel line. If you use fuel line that's loose on the nipple, find a clamp to fit. There are tiny gear clamps you can get if you work at it. Honda dealers will get you the OEM clamps but the special pliers to handle them, I've never found.
