Topic: 78 cb750 clutch/transmission problems

never had clutch or transmission problems on my 750, so this is new territory for me. here's whats going on. engine runs fine. i pull the clutch lever in and put it in gear. i hear and feel it go in to 1st, but when i release the clutch it wont go. i'll admit, i was "rallying" it when it happened. i didn't hear anything break. any ideas?

What do you mean (rallying)?

Check the adjustment maybe?

Take the cover off the side, loosen the lock nut and turn the slotted center in till it touches and back out 1/2 turn then lock down while holding the slotted center part still.

wheelies, burnouts, etc...

for sure try adj as per manual maybe even 1/4th turn hope you didn't fry the plates!

I'd start by pulling the clutch cover and inspecting the plates, clutch basket, pressure plate, etc.
