I wasn't really arguing for separate votes, I was just being a little cheeky, given that if we were in separate categories, we'd both win by default since we'd be the ONLY bikes competing in each category...

I can go with that, lol.

I will say that this is an interesting bunch a folks at SOHC4 and many with great talent for what they turn out.  If I ever do another build again, I got lots of things I am gonna steal for ideas!!!!

:D sorry, eccosse a little slo. but ur r rite !

but i do agree there may be a time when we may have to do the separate category if for no other reason than the number of bikes.

Wow, I think this the first BOTM where no one noticed that the poll has closed and we have a winner!

kudos to ray! and congratulations to both in a tight race. seriously, either one could be a winner (i voted  for the cafe) but this month shows the love is still there for the "stock" sohc/4.

tipper, can't speak for others but this month has flown by for me. this poll came to a close in what seemed a blink of an eye.

WoW....Never thought that my stocker could get that much of a following. Like I said before, I never put Marmalade up for judging before. And I am so glad that Jessezm's beautiful cafe got almost as many votes cause his bike is really a excellent example of the vision and workmanship that exists on this forum. I really appreciate those that voted this month cause it was a tough decision. It could of just as easily gone to a great cafe bike as to my stocker. And to be perfectly honest, both of our bikes are winners since they ARE SOHC4's and it doesn't get any better than that.

hehe, I can agree.  I was at work, looked at the time in my system tray and said out loud "Oh Chit, it's the 1st".

Great pair of bike's!  Congrats to both for doing so well!

Congratulations to Ray.

Both you guys have nice bikes. It takes much work and many dollars to make both bikes that nice however it's the love of work and bike that puts it over the top. Your efforts show that.

Ray, aren't you glad I sent those lever tips! That's gotta be what put the voting over the edge  ;)

Very well done Ray, when I saw your bike 'in the flesh' at Mid-Ohio I just couldn't believe the attention to detail you had given it.... very well deserved ' Bike of the Month'...... :)

Jerry, You are probably right !  ;) But as you know, it is an ongoing work in progress. Probably will never be finished as long as I ride it.

Ray,  I appreciate your kind words and praise. I really enjoyed our trip to the Dragon this summer. Just wished I could have taken the K4 instead of the V4.  Enjoy Barber. Hopefully, I 'll make it next year with Marmalade. Again, I thank everyone for voting in such a close contest.
