What part of the country are you that they're giving away nice CBs? Like mentioned above I feel like an idiot for paying $900 for my 550K in the condition it was in.

Seems like the mid-west has the best deals on these old bikes.

I found my 550 in Iowa for $600.

Found my 500 in Michigan for 200. Just watch Craigslist like a hawk and they come up every couple months. Jam your butt in the truck and go pick 'em up - great deals. Take cash. There are 3 bikes at sub 300 up right now in my area. Just need a little love! ;)

Nice! Yet another member that found a sweet a$$ deal and made me look like an idiot for paying what I paid for mine.  ;D Seriously though, awesome find.

Rick

Hell...he didn't even find it...someone called him outta the blue wantin him to take it away!!!  Wish my local bike shop gave me that kinda service...I'm totally jealous   ;D

Great score!! and I'd agree, keep that one stock, hope it runs as good as it looks..

You are correct there. I was browsing feebay and saw tons of great deals on sweet looking bikes but by the time you add the $700-$800 for shipping it put it in local price range here on the PNW. Plus buying bike based on lousy pics is dicey.
