TT and HondaMan HELP

Bird has started a thread about front wheel clamp procedure could Y'all read it and help a few of us out I'm going with what my (750K8) book says I don't see any mention of this in my HondaMan book  Please

You mean for the axle? if so there should be an arrow and that points forward. From there you just tighten the front bolt down to spec and then tighten the rear to spec and thats it.

Well Skunk that's the way I read it also however it seems to be different for some bikes thanks for your input maybe we can get this settled. What TT said makes sense. I think the direction of arrow or the (F) mark goes foreward and the torque is in the manual it is the gap (front or back) that I'm not 100% sure of so I'm going with TT until someone can prove different logic.

No gap in the front. Think of it as the fulcrum point so to speak. You tighten the front down till there is no gap and it is at spec and then tighten the back bolt to spec. So only the back has a gap. Been doing it like this on my 78k for at least a decade.

Shunk looks like you and TT are in agreement on this GAP in the rear so I will go that way thank you and you also TT
