It is very easy to compare all 4 carbs with morgan carbtune and getting them equal.
https://www.carbtune.com/

Before syncing carbs, make sure your ignition is correctly set and equal. If 1:4 is set different than 2:3, engine will run as unsynced carbs.
Setting points equally with dwell meter will make the engine to run very even.
Properly bench synced carbs will work fine with a correct ignition.

Sloppy advancer springs another thing before tuning carbs. Important that F aligns with case mark at idle around 1200 rpm, if not, the bike will run very uneven under 3000 rpm. That's my experience after loooong excercise of tuning carbs to run even on lower throttle lift, finally sorted getting ignition right.

+1 on the CarbTune.  Have used home made manometers and also a TwinMax.  The Twinmax only does 2 carbs at once and is very sensitive. I started my 1150 Beemer with it hooked up and didn't have the sensitivity all the way down.  Bang!!  Out of whack and now I have a nice $100 paper weight.  The CarbTune is very simple, seems rugged and was very accurate and comes with plenty of fittings for various bikes.
