Jetting suggestions for new exhaust
« on: March 03, 2006, 08:22:01 AM »
I have a '79 CB650, and will be installing an exhaust setup (4 into 1 header w/ side mounted can) from a '02 R6. I am not sure how I will need to adjust the jetting. The bike currently has a 2 into 2 exhaust. There are no airbox modifications, or anything else. 110-120? Thanks for your help.

how is that going to work? the different motors/manufacturers have different exhaust mounts and specs, don't they?

The yamaha exhaust uses a 4 into 1 header where the pipes are spaced near even from eachother. As far as the angles go I will be using (from the engine) the first 6 or so inches of the stock pipes, then cutting both sets to match up, and welding them together which will be easy enough because the pipe diameters are the same.
