I just purchased another bike and will be picking it up this weekend. Does the 1979 CB750F use the same oil filter as my 74 CB750K?

I got to ride my new bike today. Smooth as can be. It had foweled plugs and I found a lot of trash in the airbox. Did an oil change also. One thing I'm finding I don't like is this thing is a cold natured #$%*. My 74 starts right up an idles perfect without the choke. It also sounds better than the DOHC, but the DOHC has stock exaust. I haven't got to take any pics yet but they're coming soon.

Was the trash mice droppings, piss and a nest? Had that in a bunch of the old bikes I restored, it is an awful mess to clean plus it really corrodes the metal. Enjoy the ride.

To meet emissions they were VERY cold blooded and need a lot of choke till well warm, also dont like standing with gas in the carbs

Yes the CV carbs.    ;D      i worked on my sisters ct 70 that wouldnt fire once.  A mouse had built a nest under the tank and chewed the wires.   That was a PIA for a lil old 70.

I've finaly got to put a few miles on the 79 750f. The bike seems to run great but I believe a K&N airfilter swap is in order. Also it seems like the stock exaust has this thing corked up. I may just be use to hearing my other bike with a nice sounding 4 into 1.
