Well, it turned out that the bike in Santa Barbara was misrepresented in the eBay auction. So after renting a trailer, begging my friend to leave work early, and braving 3 hours of traffic, we arrived only to find the bike in the photos wasn't the bike we were seeing in front of us. Turns out the photos were of the actual bike, but before it had been dropped on both sides. The kid copied and pasted the ad that was used when he bought the bike about a year ago. Not to mention the year of neglect the bike endured having not had anything done to it. There was barely any oil in it!
He never bothered to inform of this prior to my trip. Oh well. He didn't have any money from me. It took every bit of self-control that I had to not punch him in his moronic face. Negative feedback was left on eBay, and life continued, bike-less.
Which brings us to today. I found a MINT 1973 cb750 in Santa Monica this morning and couldn't hold back. I bought it tonight. I couldn't be happier. It's gorgeous, and I'll have some pics up later this week. Again, get ready for a bombardment of questions, as I aim to learn the finer intricacies of this glorious machine.
