The ignition on my 550

Its got the lock (duh)
On (no brainer)
Turn Off (I do that to a lot of females)
What does the "P" Do?

 It is for park in that position the two rear amber lights should be on.

That's a relief... i can take that off my list of electrical problems

The rear amber lights should only be on (and blinking) when the turn signals are activated.  The "P" position on the ignition switch should only turn on the tail light.

Sorry mine is a 750K8 and works like I said. They changed it through the years.

Well I went to check my park position again and not only does my two rear amber lights come on (no flash) my red tail (not brake) light also comes on. This may be a K7-K8 thing.
