Single Carb cb350
« on: September 27, 2010, 04:54:20 PM »
My brother and i are going to put a couple of our cb350 and/or cb360 engines to use this winter in a couple of homemade dune buggy/go carts.  my question is has anyone ever made a manifold and ran one off of a single carb before and if so what carb did you use?  i want to convert to a single for ease of jetting and not having to sync them and just to see if it works ok.  we are gonna whip up a couple manifolds out of copper pipe and stick a single carb on the end of it, my brother thinks a stock carb will run both fine but i dont really agree, i was thinking about a VM32 maybe?   any ideas?  thanks.
or maybe im just dumb . . .

I'm putting a cr125 carb on my 1979 cb400t.  Lots of info on this swap from the KZ400 websites.  I got mine running from a temp PVC manifold.  Runs nice and no carbs to sync!  Just need to weld a metal manifold together.

i will have to see what a cr125 carb is exactly, i thought about pvc but i figured copper would do the trick for the meantime, thanks.

I'm actually riding a '77 kz400D with a single carb setup right now. Works great, though there may be some jetting issues you'll have to deal with. My manifold is made out of plumbing parts. Check out this thread for all the relevant info..

If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.
