Mirror question
« on: September 27, 2010, 11:29:28 AM »
I bought some aftermarket mirrors for my CB500 and, while they look OK, they're a little too upright and antennae-like for my taste.
The original mirrors I've seen are a little lower and smoother flowing on the bike/bars.

I tried ordering mirrors from Honda but they're discontinued. Where can I find some original style mirrors that won't stick straight up? I cross referenced the part # and the 500's don't cross reference with other models.

Surely a CB750 or smaller CB/CL series would work, right? Or where else can I find OG style mirrors?

Though I don't know your exact model, this is what David Silver Spares sells as stock replacements:

This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.

That looks likee what I have. They sit very "upright" compared to original mirrors.

And while we're at it: They were out of stock of the 18mm spark plug wrench, too. Did other models use the same size plug wrench? The cross reference doesn't tell me what size it is.

That thought has crossed my mind! I was pulling out of the garage last night and thought "Hmmm.....I wonder how strong those stalks are..."
