Topic: New Motorcyle Day! '74 CB360

Bought this 1974 CB360 this weekend.  All original with rebuilt engine (it has 25 miles on it) and in excellent condition cosmetically and functionally.

Only gripe at this point is the tank inside is a bit rusty and at 3500 RPM in 3rd and 4th gear the bike "pulses" a bit.  






It is really fun to ride and for my first bike    I think it is pretty cool.  Any suggestions or tips are always appreciated.  Keep in mind that I have very limited mechanical experience but am highly motivated to learn and maintain this little guy.

I'm gonna be banished to the "Other Bikes" forum due to it's non SOHC engine.    Come visit from time to time won't you?

My first bike (back in 1982!!) was also a CB360 - a 1976 model my older brother bought brand new!

Yep, it's an "other bike", but it IS a SOHC - a Single OverHead Cam.  It's just a SOHC-2, not a SOHC-4.

HA!  That thing is great!  I like how you positioned the gas tank for maximum aerodynamic effect.

Nice bike.  there are a few here on the site.   3 here local alone.    When they rebuilt the engine I would hope they did the upgraded camchain tensioner.

The engine does have the punch mark by the s/n so there's that.  I hope they did it too.

I have a 1975 360t and it is my first bike also! I had a tear in one of the carb diaphrams and the carb floats were about 26mm instead of the stock 18.5mm! It runs great now.
