Ok. So, I'm getting ready to tackle the wiring harness on my creation. It's basically, the last step that's preventing me from finally hearing it run. Forgive me if this sounds like an elementary question...
The bike as it sits is a 350F...sometime in the near future, it will become a 400F but we'll save that for later. When I picked up the bike, the harness appeared to require a small amount of repair, coupla broken connections etc. No biggie. I also need to relocate a few of the battery box electrics under the seat...again, no biggie.
As I'm looking through the wiring diagrams, it appears the CB400F has a few differences in it's harness. Looks to have 3 fuses (main, front and rear tail lights). Also, clutch switch and a Silicon Diode. Whereas, the CB350F only has one fuse (main).
I would have assumed the 400 harness to be evolutionary in it's design...What's the Silicon Diode for? (Is it so that you have to have the clutch pulled and in neutral?) And, should I be thinking of adding the additional two fuses?
