Yes. May need to run Microsoft update on your computer. What version is it. I know that's asking a lot.

Might it be windows XP ?

Sam, Windows XP is the operating system and Explorer is the browser. If you open Explorer and click on "help" is should tell you what version you have. Depending on how far behind you are on XP updates, it could all take a while.  ::)
