Clip on Handlebar resize
« on: October 01, 2010, 11:20:37 PM »
Soooooooo.........I bought a set of 35mm handlebar clip ons from Old Bike Barn 4 years ago, but found out I was having a baby shortly after and my cafe racer project became delayed until recently.

I go to fit the bars on today aaaaaaaand......turns out they sent me one 35mm right handlebar and one 34mm.

Needless to say, I fell outside their "30 day return policy" regardless of the "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed" on their website and they are unwilling to help me out.

Any suggestions on how to get 1mm out of the one handlebar?

If you don't mind black, I have a set of 35mm ones I'll give you. Nothing fancy, just two pieces of 7/8 tubing welded to 35mm sleeves. They're adjustable up and down (slide along the fork tube) and back and forth (clockwise, counterclockwise). Just pay postage from Canada. PM if you're interested.
This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.
