My back up bike
« on: October 02, 2010, 06:16:53 PM »
My 750 K6 has been parked while I wait on the  Diamond chain and JT sprockets to arrive, but until than I've been giving my HD Wide Glide some well deserved attention. Since I bought the Honda almost a year ago I've spend most the summer on it, while the HD sits in the garage. Well the last several weeks I've spent some saddle time on the Harley. I've been riding the 750 so much I almost forgot what a good running and nice bike my HD is. Each bike is so much different than he other. You have the smoothness of the SOHCFour and on the other side you have the potato-potato sound of the V-twin. I like them both ;D ;D
I miss riding my CB, but I've really enjoyed riding and getting use to my Wide Glide again. Here's a pic of the HD.

I always thought that back up bikes are important.  I like to have bikes that have different types of engines and styles.  I find that they all are fun.  Nice HD!

Thanks Steve K. And there couldn't be two bikes that are more different than a 1976 Honda CB750, and a 1997 HD Wide Glide. Both are just alot of fun to ride ;D

Back up bikes are nice. I have a 97 softail heritage springer and I love it. It's great for long trips and riding two up. On some days I ride the HD to work and then the 400 out for the night, it makes for a nice day of riding even if the rides are relatively short.

My wife has a cb350k4 that I ride once in while too, just for short trips and of course my cb400f. Here's a shot of all three. All I need now is a modern sport bike and I'll have my pick of riding needs.

I have been thinking of getting a super hawk as my back up.

then use my 750f1 as a crusier.

Xfactor, I bought my Wide Glide in 2000, so it's been part of the family a lot longer than the Honda, but the old classic CB750 never goes out of style and it gives me a good feeling inside almost like its 1976 and I'm 18 all over again ;)
Does anyone else have that same feeling when your out on the road on your CB?

In 1976 I was three so my vintage Hondas don't bring back memories yet I'm making them now to look back on later. ;D
