CB750 Grip recommendations?
« on: March 06, 2006, 11:48:06 AM »
Hi all,
Im in the final stages of my CB750K2 cafe project (pics soon) and was looking for some suggestions on grips for the tomesselli cafe bars. Since the switches, control panel, headlight shell, gauges etc are all chrome Im looking for some chrome-style grips. Ive seen some at Dennis Kirlk but for $75!! Does anyone have any personal recommendations for chrome-style grips that may also be comfortable on the hand??

Thanks
Andy in Boston

Probably a desecration, but, I use (on all my bikes...so as to not aggravate the carpal tunnel syndrome..) the romaha (whatever...the warehouse
is on the way home) chrome/black foam grips.

They are about 1.5 in in diameter...lots of padding...if you're going to be hunched over cafe style...it may help provide some padding.

Not traditional, etc.  I know.  Just a suggestion.

I do not like a completely chrome grip however I do think that chrome ends with black colored grips between look very good. As bd said, you will be hunched so get something comfortable, then go for looks.

I use the black foam (or neoprene?) with the chrome ends. Look good and feel good.

I use the chrome end with black center ones. Like the ones they are selling on eBay. They are nice and thick feeling like a 1" grip would normally feel. Easy to modify for bar end mirrors too.  ;D
