The bolt that holds the little bracket onto the head that the end cover screws onto should have a special sealing washer between the steel bracket and the head cover to stop the oil that is feeding the cam leaking out. Honda part 90485-001-000.
That is as well as the steel washer between the bolt head and the bracket

Sorry to revive this thread but my '71 CB500 is leaking on the left side from the cam endcap bolt that holds the cam cover and bracket for the endcap.  There is a deformed washer under the bracket (part #90485-001-000) but I checked with a couple of places and they can't get this part.  Is there something that I can used to improvise?  I was thinking about either a fiber or rubber washer.

Any ideas?
