Dyna coil installation HELP
« on: October 06, 2010, 06:11:52 PM »
I got my Dyna care package from Z1 today, but I've run into a problem.  I can't find anywhere in the instructions which port on the coils are for which cylinder.  I know the cylinders are split 1 -4 and 2- 3 between the coils, but which plug wire goes where?
It took 10 years but she's finally done!

It doesn't matter.
This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.

That would explain why the instructions don't mention it I guess...
Thanks.

same goes for the small wires.  the coils aren't polarity sensitive either.

Ya, the instructions said that the small wires don't matter - it just didn't state anything about the plug wires.  But I went ahead and cut my wires last night and got the coils set up.  Now I just need to install the Dyna S and see if she'll light the fire!

I just did this same install... MAKE SURE none of your terminal wires are touching the frame when you install or they WILL ground out. Ask me how I know  ;D

Are you talking about the small wires?  It seems odd that they would ground through the sheath.  Did you have cracks or exposed connectors?
