re: gas - in Bolton $1.08 / Trenton $1.02
It always seems to be .06 cheaper there, so I try to organizie shop trips around long distance fill-ups.
On an other note regarding the VRRA Vintage Festival at Mosport. Early in September I proposed this idea to HedNut >
"Here's an idea. To start the original Monte Carlo Rally, cars started at designated 'home' locations (London / Paris / Berlin etc.), and drove a designated route to MC. Could do something similar. Pick locations say 5 / 8 hours from the 'site', and have designated routes. Members would join in as a group passed their location along one of the routes. Or have designated stops were members would meet-up, say every 2 hours. Be really neat to have your group growing at each stop, and meeting members and seeing their bike. Best part would be at the destination, seeing all those SOHC's together, and meeting their owners. Could make it stress free by having a 'pick up vehicle' that would follow and pick up anyone who broke down. At the next stop you would certainly have lots of help to get it back on the road. A small nominal fee would cover the cost of a truck if required."
To which I would add, that if the 'pickup vehicle' as a nice SUV, more wives might join in.
There are also hotels / motels / bed & breakfast in and around Bowmanville for those who don't camp.
Given how many on this thread have favourite roads, should be simple to have a local member lead a leg of his/her's. Join a bunch of legs together to make a route to Mosport. My .02 Cdn (.0197 US)
