What would you want from Ontario based get togethers

A couple of nice rides, an occational informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
A little more organized, a few rides, a rally, an informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
Well organized, several regional rides, a couple of group rides , a national ride, informal  meeting places and to feel part of a dedicated group.
Im up for an occational ride and will try to make it to a rally.
I am too busy to commit but will join in whenever possible.

Hi guys, I'm in the beaches in Toronto, always trying to get a ride somewhere, always seem to be busy on the day. Will keep an eye here, hope to have my 750 on the road in the spring, until then it's this..John.
Hi John,

That's a nice CB77 that you have to ride!  I really love that model as I've owned a 1962 version since the spring of '66.  It still runs but I've been contemplating really sprucing it up.  The neat thing about it is that it still has more "pull" than my 350 Four.

Here's a picture.  Since this was taken, the starter is back on (kick isn't working) and the mufflers have been replaced (still not original but closer).  The trunk is more of a joke, as it looks just like a shrunken version of what's on my Wing.

Hey Boner, since you're from the U.K, do you know much about Matchless bikes?. My brother is putting one together for someone, and parts seem scarce as hen's teeth. it about a 1966 750. You have a lot of English bikes, you ever run into those bikes, or hear of a source for stuff? He needs a seat and fenders. Thanks, John.

Hondanut, those pipes look pretty good though, those Dunstalls? Funny, my starter quit, but my kickstarter is working!

Nope, those pipes aren't Dunstall - they are just open megaphones.  They made quite a racket!  I think they were intended for British bikes. ::)

Nice bike Hednut I checked your cycle out and when the voting starts you get my vote for sure.
That cb77 is also one nice cycle, I have also wanted one for my collection. If anyone hears of one for sale let me know.
I grew up in the Mods & Rockers period and had mostly British cycles but I really liked the 250 Honda, Suzy X6, Yam YDS as they performed nearly as well as my 650 Brit bikes. When the Honda 750 came out in 69 it was the end of the Brits :(
70ckb0 If I remember correctly a Matchbox 750 around 1966 would have been the Norton atlas engined model , so engine, forks, wheels, exhaust are real easy to find. As far as the  seat goes contact the AJS / Matchless club they will know for sure and I think the fenders are Norton so they will still be available. Contact Mike at Walridge motors he will know if new ones are being produced. Mike is in London Ontario but if he is no help let me know and I will ask some UK based shops who I deal with.

I was wondering about rides around Lake Simcoe? Other than going from Barrie to Orillia on 11 and of course, stopping at Paul Webber's for a burger, I haven't really explored the area much. I've never been to Pefferlaw for example or any of the south shore. Wouldn't be so far for Hednut either?

Since we are throwing around destinations.....Hwy 118 around  Port Carling, east or west goes from the Mac Teer(400) to Bancroft(28)......not a ten minute ride that's for sure.......just tossing it in the mix

Nice! Never been that route either. There are a Lot of lakes there!
Bancroft I was at this summer, but not on my bike.
It is a long way for me (even in a car). It would be nice if it was a circuit?

Boner............I can think of 3 or 4 others from Ontario..........instead of continuously adding to your list, why not just let the

others from Ontario catch up to this thread and if the want to follow it they will,by clicking on the notify at the bottom......

Just my 2 cents.

Also found a 63 if you are interested......http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-street-cruisers-choppers-1963-Honda-150cc-W0QQAdIdZ236251823

Good call on the post of interested riders, I will do that asap. I will also add places mentioned.
Nice looking old Honda but I would like to pick up a 250 next then a 450 Hellcat then my Honda's would be complete. But first I have to complete my low budget rebuild of this 750 :) and my bobber.

Maybe not:

BRAMPTON, ON. (June 15, 2010) – Starting mid-July 2010, the Region of Peel will begin stabilization of road and embankment works on Forks of the Credit Road in Caledon. Work is expected to continue to November 2010. Traffic will be restricted to local access only.

Anyone know if it is open and what they have done to it?

Haven't been through there this year, so not sure.  Just mentioned it because it has always been a local favorite, as well as one of mine.
