What would you want from Ontario based get togethers

A couple of nice rides, an occational informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
A little more organized, a few rides, a rally, an informal meeting place and a sense of comraderie.
Well organized, several regional rides, a couple of group rides , a national ride, informal  meeting places and to feel part of a dedicated group.
Im up for an occational ride and will try to make it to a rally.
I am too busy to commit but will join in whenever possible.

Hey Boner

Not familiar with the "Mods & Rockers" meet.  Can you fill me in?  Is it an open thing?

Brrrrrrrrrr too cold for me.
Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year, hope Santa was good to you all I got exactly what I wanted a GoPro camera. And thanks to RustyOlive's advice my wife got me a kick ass model.
Anyway I also wanted to let everyone know that the MODS & ROCKERS meet will be again held in August same place and the organizer will work around our Rally date. So lets try to have a presence there, I will book the date as soon as its decided.

Its held in most of the big cities around the world now. Mostly period type cycles and scooters meet up and have a little show & shine then a ride. Here in Toronto last year it was a two day thing, two cafe's were involved a nice ride through Toronto and some good natured fun poked at each other. I believe the DTT group had a Rockabilly do at the Black Dice Cafe on the Friday night then a meet at the Dominion on Queen.
Do a google search on it but here's one link from last year.

Hey Boner...how-d'a get that crease in the front of the tank?  Was it a tank slapper? ;D ;D :D :D

I also notice you've got a big indent/hole in the front of yur seat...must be lots of room for dangle.  8)

(I'm jealous...of the Norton. :P)

Its official! one of last years organizers told me the weekend of August 20th so I will reserve those days. Lets hope we can have a large turn out from the SOHC4 I will also post it in the main part of the forum both now and closer to the date.
Thanks for the kind words for the Norton , I have three Norton engines for her the 500 thats in it, the 650 she came with and a 750. I love swapping out the motors but I need a Triumph motor to finish her off. As far as the indents and cavities the front ones can't be from a tank slapper as it doesnt go fast enough :) and yes the seat is for my overly large appendage, I have to be careful as the bellmouth is quite large and close. And yes I dream in technicolor
Check out the Chicago Mods and Rocker reunions ( youtube ) they are a blast.
MODS & ROCKERS August 20th 2011
Closer to the time maybe someone would like to volounteer to organize the rabble for our participation.

I havent been to Paris in a few years either, this really gives me a reason to go now!  It would be a long ride but well worth it if other cb's are around.

Well then I see another ride materializing :) maybe John will keep a list of confirmed riders and organize a ride in :) seeing it was his idea. And if Straw is passing by the south end of Lake Simcoe he can add three more SOHC's to his caravan.

Can do. Granted, I'm keeping my fingers crossed my 750 will be finished my then, but if it isn't I'll take the Superhawk, (at least still an SOHC). I'm in the Beaches in Toronto, we could meet up anywhere really, riding in together would be cool. You more northern guys would likely want to avoid all the 4 lane crap and have a nicer ride around the city, I'm thinking. I could always head a bit north, pick up with you north of the airport or something. Looks like a 3hour + ride from Pefferlaw. For me it's dead straight out of town on the Gardiner, QEW, 403, but I hate the busy roads.
I don't know my way around this site all that well, Should we start a new thread, just to keep better track of this? John.
