Not to be rude but i think if you do a search there is about a hundred posts on doing the swap.

Yep.  If you do a search from the top of the tech forum for "650 cam 550" and "650 cam swap" you'll find tons of info.

What you might try is running 550 carbs. That might solve your problem. unless your motor is punched out to close to 750 or you are racing.

I put a 650 cam in my 550 and did not have to rejet the stock carbs. I doubt that .030 more lift will solve your  loading up problem. Put 550 carbs with the 650 cam and I think you will be happy with the results.

Well if you plan on keeping them, your best bet is to drop in a set of 750 pistons to help keep the velocity up in the carbs and be sure to ride WOT all the time and you should be ok. That is sarcasm. If you are running late model 750 carbs you are correct they are a better design. There are also carbs off more modern bikes that are even better design. If your just going to slap carbs on that are not intended for your bike why not try those?  If you want a bike that runs good and is ride-able then use 550 carbs.  But im sure this is not the advise you want to hear. So Yes. A 650 cam will solve all your problems. But  why not throw in a 750 cam to match your cabs? ;)

i have already rebuilt the 750 carbs i have some 550 carbs that are in super nasty condition but will use if i need to. really i new to bikes and carbs within the past year or so and the friends i picked the bike up from had the carbs and rebuilt kits so i kinda just picked up where he left off... will a 750 carb fit? im not sure if you were being sarcastic at that point obviously hard to tell someones tone via text, if so your the 1st to recommend to match them. and looking back at the comments he was going to build a race bike out of her.

no. 750 cam is too long to fit. From what i understand 750 carbs can be made to fit but do not work well on the street.
