Topic: CB450 vibration. Anyone remove head bracket?

Project Hammer Head is done 1972 CB450. I have clip ons and they vibrate, not a buzz, I'd welcome a buzz. It vibrates alot! I've read some people have removed the upper head to frame brackets. Has anyone done this?

No way on earth I would do that - the CB450 head is a huge piece and very very heavy. If that starts to get into a bit of motion it'll make things worse not better. Best tihng I found for 450 vibration is to get the crankshaft dynamically balanced. It made mine very very sweet and almost no vibration at the bars, just a mild buzz as you say...

Lord, I figured you would know. So Honda didn't do any balancing. I guess they were just counting on the equal/opposite force/weight of the second cylinder. That figures. Is there any known bob weights for balancing? The engine balancer I work with always asks me if I know the bob weight for an unusual engine and I know he hasn't done any CB twins.
