The wife insisted we get a handgun. Settled on a Taurus 357 Mag with a laser sight. We go on date night every week, but once a month or so...to the shooting range. We're getting pretty good.   ;D

Right on!  That's pretty awesome that your wife is into it too.

Winchester, Rug er, S&W, Taurus 736 (daily friend), and a genuine,  , 1948 vintage Mandelbrot .25/6.35mm military waistcoat "sidearm". This last one can knock you out of the booth: it penetrated 3  2x4 pine boards, then ricocheted off the concrete basement wall, the steel floor beam, passed near my feathering's nose (Zzz...), then penetrated the head of his 3 iron in the golf bag and embedded itself in the 2x4 stud behind the wallboard... (it actually happened in the basement, with witnesses...   ).  I LIKE this one!

Good thing it was the 3 iron.  Nobody uses that anyway.  ;D  But seriously, that's pretty scary stuff.

Anyone own or has fired a Taurus Judge?  Its the 20ga revolver.

As much as I'd like to buy/try one, it's not on California's approved roster.  ::)

Coupla months ago, a guy at the range had one in .410. I put about 15 or so rounds through it. I wasn't really that impressed. Not much good for shooting anything but rattlesnakes or people.

You're right, it is a .410ga.  I thought it would be good for home defense.

Best weapon for home defense is the good old pump action shotgun. Not only easy to hit your target in the dark but just the sound of cocking the shotgun would be enough to scare many would-be burglars off.  ;D

S&W 9mm compact (a 3914 I believe) that I bought to carry but never actually do.

Beretta 12 guage semi-auto for skeet

Winchester 12-guage pump for dove

Winchester 20-guage semi from back in the day

Scoped Winchester bolt action .308 for deer

Scoped Remington bolt action .243 for varmints

Scoped Remington 552 semi .22 with I believe 15-17 round tube mag for target  <== too much fun

Would really like to add an AR, a 1911, and a tactical shotgun (just for grins)

Glock 19 - bed-side comfort piece
Kahr CW9 - Carry piece
Henry 001 lever action .22 LR - basic fun iron sight shooter
Savage Mark II .22 LR - scoped tack driver
Savage 111 .270 - deer rifle (virgin)

Want list is way to long to put here.  It would not be an exaggeration to say that I'd need another much larger gun safe if I hit the lotto...

I don't "own" any guns, but I have a friend who has the following guns.

A Winchester model 67 in .22lr
A pre-64 Winchester 94 in 30-30
A Remington 870 12ga. that's all "Tacticool"
A Marlin 1895 GS in 45-70 that's all tricked out
A Walther P22
A EAA Witness in .40 S&W
and a Kimber 1911 in .45 ACP

I (er, my friend hehehe) is in the process of building an AR-15 from pieces and parts.

Here in Alaska you are not required to register your guns or to have a permit to carry concealed.

Yeah, I don't own any either but I know a guy who has too many to list.
Multiple AK's, multiple VZ58's, multiple Cetme's, FAL, Garand, 1919a4, multiple sks's, crap load of .22's from antique to customized tack drivers, multiple mossy 500's, 1911's, cz82's, Makarov's, P-64 (daily carry), Glock 40, TT33, Ruger 22/45, and I'm sure "he's" got more.

I have shot the "Judge" and the "Night Judge," (3" bbl, I think). Both are pretty neat, put some .410 slugs through them both and some 6 shot. 6 shot had about a 12"-14" pattern at 10 yards, so that will really screw someone or something up. The slugs were fairly accurate out to 25 yds. I could keep a 6"-8" group fairly consistantly, kinda surprising.  Had a hard time extracting the shells after being fired though, so speed reloads aren't really that speedy. I guess if you could only have one gun, this might be it. I would never buy one myself though.
